Glossary of terms
Queso: Mexican flavored cheese sauce made with jalapenos, poblanos, tomato, cream and cheddar and jack cheeses
Hoisin: A rich Chinese cooking sauce made from soybeans, sugar, lemon and spices. Served with Moo Shu pancakes in Chinese restaurants.
Kung Pao Sauce: Similar to a stir-fry sauce. Made of soy, molasses, chili sauce, brown sugar, vinegar. Slightly spicy, salty and sweet.
Chipotle: A smoked jalapeno. Spicy and smoky...delicious!
Peanut sauce: Riff's favorite sauce! A thai-inspired creation of peanut butter, soy, hoisin, garlic, ginger, cilantro, chilies and honey.
Green Curry Sauce: Another thai sauce consisting of thai green curry paste, coconut milk and yogurt.
Tzatziki Sauce: A Greek yogurt sauce with cucumbers, red onion, garlic, lemon and mint.
Poblano pepper: A green chili from Mexico and the southwest. Has a nice flavor and medium spice.
Bok Choy: A chinese leaf vegetable related to the western cabbage
Daikon Radish: A mild-flavored, very large east Asian root vegetable.
Chorizo: A mexican raw pork sausage. It is not in a casing. Made of ground pork, chilies, cumin and vinegar.
Ranchero Sauce: A mexican cooked salsa with chipotle, garlic and cumin.
